A few seconds later: the water level rises and the current strength increases suddenly. The water may also wash away the
banks. DANGER !!!
|
|
|
Sudden rises in water level are due to imperative technical requirements or
natural phenomena. They may occur :
- even in fine weather
- at any time of the day or night
- without any warning signs
- many kilometres downstream of the installations (water intakes, dams)
- even in dry torrents
Hydroelectric operators decline all responsibility in case of accident
