Sudden rises

Sudden rises in water level are due to imperative technical requirements or natural phenomena. They may occur :

  • even in fine weather
  • at any time of the day or night
  • without any warning signs
  • many kilometres downstream of the installations (water intakes, dams)
  • even in dry torrents
